Queer Kudzu Community Stories and Craft Workshop

Sept 25, 1-5pm | Wey Hall Rm 220 Drop in workshop to participate in a story gathering session for artist Aaron McIntosh’s Queer Kudzu project to create an alternative archive of queer stories representing life in Boone and on campus. This archive will take the form of a quilted kudzu vine that will be added to the artist’s ongoing project. Queer Kudzu is an art project that proudly reclaims kudzu, an invasive plant species, as a symbol for Southern queer visibility and tenacity in the face of homophobia and regional stereotypes that deny our rich histories.
