Start the new year right with a ranger-led 0.75-mile hike on the Maple Run and Beech Tree Trail loop. Both trails are considered easy. After the hike, there will be a campfire and hot cocoa at the amphitheatre. Alternatively, plan a self-guided hike at Grandfather Mountain State Park or Elk Knob State Park .
