Contra Dance

Series · 2 upcoming dates through Dec 5

Contra is a called dance, similar to square dancing, but danced in lines with a partner. You do not need a partner to attend a dance. The culture is inviting, inclusive, and based on consent. It is encouraged, but not required, to change partners after each dance. We hold a contra dance every month at the American Legion in Blowing Rock. There is a caller and a live band. http://www.boonecountrydancers.org/ Dances are $10 (cash please). New dancers are encouraged to come early to the lesson at 6:30PM to get acquainted with the dance.
